This week’s outtake from my book, ‘Cruising the World – From Gondolas to Megaships’ is a photo of ships departing PortMiami’s ship channel taken from South Pointe Park at the tip of Miami Beach.
When I spent three days photographing on and off ships at PortMiami for my book ‘Cruising the World,’ the pier at the end of the park was one of my favorite sites for watching those magnificent ships going out to sea. As each one passed I wished to be on it. After the third day I had my wish.
