CRUISING PHOTO of the WEEK #8 – the weekly outtake from ‘Cruising the World – From Gondolas to Megaships’ is a sightseeing cruiser in the two-thousand-year-old Alsatian city of Strasbourg, France.
Rhine River cruises heading upstream to Switzerland normally make a stop to visit this city’s architecturally rich La Petite France district, imperial quarter, and the modern buildings that house the formal seat of the European Parliament.
The best way to view Strasbourg is on a sightseeing cruise on the canals and adjoining Ill River that circle the island at the city’s center. Either open sightseeing boats or glass enclosed air-conditioned cruisers can be chosen to take one of three cruise tour routes available.
