This is the third week for selecting an outtake from ‘Cruising the World, From Gondolas to Megaships’ as the CRUISING PHOTO of the WEEK. The subject of this latest selection is ferries that transport commuters on a cruise daily between the Asian and European sections of Istanbul.
This panoramic vista of the ferries in Istanbul’s Golden Horn shows the European skyline from Topkapi Palace on the left past Hagia Sophia Museum to the Sultan Ahmed (Blue) Mosque on the right.
One of my favorite cities in the world to photograph produced seven strong images included in the ‘Cruising the World’ book. In the book are photos of cruise ships from Costa, MSC, Oceania, and a Russian cruise company, plus sightseeing boats and ferries.
