CRUISING PHOTO of the WEEK #10 – this week’s outtake from ‘Cruising the World – From Gondolas to Megaships’ — is bi-national as the cruises operate on the U.S. – Canadian border with a boat cruising from a dock in each country.
The Maid of the Mist VII, in the foreground, is one of a series of Maid of the Mist boats that has been operating on the Niagara River since 1846. One of two catamarans from Hornblower, in the rear, took over cruises from the Canadian side of the river in 2014 when the Maids were relocated to a dock on the American side. Both cruises assure passengers a good soaking when they near the falls.
